I have truly enjoyed this first season, and I hear there will be more to come Doug.

    • DM says:

So you’ve been able to watch it already? (the new season) I was thinking it was a new release just coming out Sunday night… I don’t watch that much TV, as you can probably tell…

      • Deb says:

No, you’re correct Doug, it is newly released in the US. I just happened to spot the European release of the series late last fall and was able to watch it on a “free tv” website– that’s one of those interesting internet good/bad options whereby folks will download and post series tv released in other countries that can then be watched before release in the United States. Quality can be sketchy, ads are everywhere, but if you get lucky you often get to see shows long before they make it to TV here.

    I can’t wait!

You’ll have to write about it! That’s one of the things I appreciate about your blog…quite a diverse range of topics for us to chew on.

      • LA says:

Just imagine being in my head for a little while….

      • DM says:

I’ve only been reading your blog for the last year or so, (so you may have written about it in the past) but weren’t you in corporate management @ some level? You strike me as someone who loves (and needs) to keep their brain engaged…so if you’re not currently “working” you find other things to keep you busy..just curious….

      • LA says:

I was a band analyst for an investment bank…hence why I analyze everything and find connections….

      • DM says:

Do you mind unpacking that just a little more (band analyst)? I have a niece and a nephew who both went to college and majored in some type of analyst work, (where they critique existing businesses for investment companies, to figure out their actual value, for possible purchase, is that kind of what that means?

      • LA says:

Omg I hate typing! Bond analyst! I used to help figure out ways to create securities (bonds) that could be traded or invested in.

      • DM says:

🙂 Thanks for taking the time to answer. Since that sort of thing is so far removed from what I do, I have no idea what it involves. Love to learn about new topics like that.

      • LA says:

It’s hard to explain because it’s like magic. I take nothing, or something people paid no attention to, and turn it into something that can be used

  3. m1cey says:

    oOoh! I’m excited!

  4. Laurie says:

Oh, my! I watched the original-all episodes at least twice! Considering buying it, but $300! Maybe I’ll wait for the price to come down while watching this one!

    • DM says:

Your comment had me googling what’s available on line..I was tempted to buy the whole original series on DVD..hours and hours of viewing..some of the reviews didn’t sound too good in terms of quality of the disks..we’ll see. I think the series is right up our ally in terms of viewing tastes…we’ve never seen any of them. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! DM

  5. Ann Coleman says:

I actually stumbled across that a couple of weeks ago, but didn’t realize it was new to PBS. They did a pretty good job, I think. I loved his books, and have actually just finished re-reading “All Things Wise and Wonderful.”
